Abel Personnel is actively interviewing Customer Service Representatives with strong data entry and computer skills for upcoming training classes in Harrisburg, PA.
This is a full-time, high-volume call center position that combines customer service, account processing, and detailed data entry. We're looking for candidates who can work efficiently, maintain accuracy, and stay focused in a structured, production-driven environment.
Position Details
- Pay: $19.00 per hour
- Job Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Initial Shift: 9:30 AM–6:00 PM
- Location: Harrisburg, PA – onsite to start
- Training: Paid training provided
- Remote Potential: Based on performance and attendance
- Hiring Status: Actively interviewing for upcoming start dates
What You'll Do
In this role, you'll assist customers by phone while simultaneously researching, entering, reviewing, and updating account information.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handle a high volume of inbound customer service calls
- Enter customer and account information quickly and accurately
- Review and verify information for account processing
- Navigate multiple computer applications while assisting customers
- Update customer records and document interactions in real time
- Assist with account inquiries, billing, payments, and account resolution
- Research discrepancies and identify appropriate next steps
- Maintain accuracy while managing a steady volume of work
- Follow established procedures for processing and documenting account activity
- Meet daily productivity, quality, and accuracy expectations
What We're Looking For
This position requires more than great customer service. Strong computer, keyboarding, and data entry skills are essential.
Successful candidates should have:
- Previous customer service experience; call center experience strongly preferred
- Strong data entry skills with an emphasis on both speed and accuracy
- Ability to type and enter information while actively speaking with customers
- Strong attention to detail
- Confidence navigating multiple computer systems and screens
- Ability to learn new software and processes
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to stay organized while handling back-to-back calls and account activity
- Experience working toward productivity, quality, or accuracy standards
- Consistent and reliable work history
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
This Position May Be a Great Fit If You Have Experience In:
Call center customer service, account services, billing, payment processing, data entry, order processing, customer account maintenance, banking, insurance, healthcare customer service, collections, administrative processing, or other high-volume customer support environments.
Work Environment
This is a structured, metrics-driven call center environment where accuracy, productivity, attendance, and customer service are equally important.
The position is primarily seated and computer-based and requires sustained attention while working between telephone calls and multiple computer applications throughout the workday.
Remote Work Potential
This position begins onsite in Harrisburg, PA.
Employees who successfully complete training and consistently meet established attendance, productivity, quality, and performance expectations may become eligible for a transition to remote/work-from-home status.
Candidates should be prepared to work onsite as required.
