Job Description As an Anthem Delivery Service employee, you will deliver Amazon packages to customers in an Amazon-branded van. The role is for a non-CDL driver and requires no prior delivery experience. DSPs offer full and part-time opportunities with paid training. Compensation and benefits Starting pay is typically competitive, with recent postings for the area advertising $24.50 per hour and up. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits like health insurance, and paid time off (PTO) and 401(k) plans. You will be provided with a company vehicle, a fuel card, and all necessary equipment like a handheld device for routing. Duties and responsibilities Safely drive and operate a delivery vehicle at all times, navigating a variety of routes in varying weather conditions. Use a handheld device for route planning and delivery information. Deliver approximately 200–250 packages per day, which can range from envelopes to boxes up to 50 lbs. Be customer-obsessed and ensure every package is delivered on time, leaving a positive impression on customers. Load and unload packages from the delivery vehicle and be able to get in and out of the van and walk up/down stairs throughout your shift. Maintain open communication with dispatchers or team leads. Work schedule Delivery Associates typically work 4–5 days per week, with shifts up to 10 hours per day. Shifts often include at least one weekend day. Basic requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Must have a valid driver's license within the state of employment (non-CDL is fine). Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a pre-employment drug test. Must be able to lift packages up to 50 lbs. Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
