<p><strong style="font-size:15px;">We are seeking a Construction Engineer with experience supporting civil infrastructure and public works projects. This role is responsible for coordinating construction activities, supporting project execution, and ensuring alignment with design intent, safety standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of construction processes, project coordination, and stakeholder communication within complex environments.</strong><p>***If you are an applicant not residing in Hawaii (Or actively relocating - Notate on resume your relocation date), need not apply. Your application will not be considered. ***<p><strong style="font-size:15px;">Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Support construction planning and execution across civil infrastructure and site development projects</li><li>Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure efficient project delivery</li><li>Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project schedules for accuracy and constructability</li><li>Monitor construction progress and provide regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones</li><li>Assist with resolving field issues, RFIs, and design clarifications in collaboration with engineering teams</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project-specific quality controls</li><li>Participate in site visits and inspections to verify work completed aligns with project specifications</li><li>Support documentation management including reports, schedules, and construction records</li></ul><p><strong style="font-size:15px;">Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or a related field</li><li>4+ years of experience supporting construction or civil infrastructure projects</li><li>Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project coordination</li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and schedules</li><li>Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders including contractors and field personnel</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills</li></ul><p><strong style="font-size:15px;">Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience working on public agency or infrastructure projects</li><li>Familiarity with construction management software or scheduling tools</li><li>Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progression toward licensure</li><li>Experience supporting RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation</li></ul><p><strong style="font-size:15px;">Additional Details:</strong></p><ul><li>Base Salary: $68,000 – $72,000</li><li>Total Compensation (with bonus): Approximately $97,000 – $120,000</li><li>Work environment includes a combination of office and field-based responsibilities</li></ul><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $68000.00 - $120000.00/yr. <p> Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.<p>this is a direct placement so they will receive benefits on day 1.</p><strong>Workplace Type</strong><p>This is a fully onsite position in Honolulu,HI.</p><strong>Application Deadline</strong><p>This position is anticipated to close on Sep 14, 2026.<p><strong>About Actalent </strong></p> <p>Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
