FEATURE FILM EDITING INTERN — ROMANTIC COMEDY

Akwire Media Group is seeking a motivated Feature Film Editing Intern to join our post-production team as we bring an independent romantic comedy across the finish line for its December 2026 release.

The full feature has already been assembled, so this is not a start-from-scratch edit. We are entering the final stage toward picture lock and need an editor who can help clean up and refine select scenes, tighten edits where necessary, address small continuity or pacing details, and help prepare the film for its final post-production stages.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be proficient in Final Cut Pro (FCPX)
Strong understanding of narrative/story editing
Good sense of pacing, comedy, emotion, and performance
Comfortable working within an existing feature-film timeline
Organized with media, timelines, and project files
Able to take creative direction and execute detailed notes
Reliable and interested in learning the feature-film post-production process

A PLUS

Experience creating graphics, titles, and motion elements
Previous narrative film, short film, music video, or commercial editing experience
Knowledge of basic color, sound cleanup, or finishing workflows
Experience preparing projects for picture lock and final delivery

This is a great opportunity for an emerging editor who wants feature-film experience and a completed feature credit while working directly with filmmakers during the final stages of a theatrical/independent film release.
