This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up. As our first hire focused on South Africa, you'll take ownership of growing our client base across the UK and Europe while building a strong network of exceptional South African talent.

This isn't a traditional recruiter role. We're looking for someone who can generate new business, win clients, and manage the entire recruitment lifecycle from the first conversation through to successful placement.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Identify and acquire new clients across the UK and Europe through outbound business development.

• Conduct cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, email prospecting, and other outbound sales activities to generate new opportunities.

• Research target companies, build prospect lists, and identify new business opportunities.

• Conduct discovery calls to understand client hiring needs.

• Build and manage long-term client relationships.

• Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle from job briefing through to successful placement.

• Source, headhunt, screen, and interview South African candidates across a variety of industries.

• Maintain regular follow-up with both clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process.

• Build and maintain strong talent pipelines within South Africa.

• Negotiate offers and manage the placement process from start to finish.

• Leverage AI tools and automation to improve sourcing, outreach, and productivity.

• Create LinkedIn or social media content to increase brand awareness and attract both clients and candidates (preferred).

• Lead the growth of RunRemote's South African operations as the primary person responsible for market expansion.

Skills you have:

• 5+ years of agency recruitment experience.

• Proven experience managing the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle.

• Demonstrated business development, client acquisition, or B2B sales experience.

• Experience generating new business through outbound prospecting and relationship building.

• Comfortable conducting cold calls, LinkedIn outreach, and email prospecting.

• Strong network of South African talent across multiple industries, ideally within startups and technology.

• Experience conducting discovery calls and managing client relationships.

• Ability to work independently with little to no day-to-day direction.

• Comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and driving outcomes without requiring constant support.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with the following tools is highly regarded:

  • LinkedIn Recruiter

  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • CRM systems

  • AI recruitment tools

  • Email outreach platforms

  • Candidate sourcing tools

  • Lead generation tools
