Remote Dental Insurance Coordinator

Other Jobs To Apply

No other job posts for this day.

Somewhere between a confused patient and a stack of insurance paperwork, someone has to make sense of it all before care gets delayed. That's the job. We're hiring a Remote Dental Insurance Coordinator to verify benefits, chase down claims, and translate insurance jargon into something a patient can actually understand — all from home. What This Role Really Comes Down To Part detective work, part customer service. You'll dig into policy details to figure out why a claim got denied, then explain the fix in plain language to a patient who just wants their procedure covered. Some days move fast. Other days you're untangling one stubborn claim for an hour. Either way, the practices you support are counting on you to keep insurance from becoming the reason care gets pushed back. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Verify insurance benefits and pre-authorize procedures using dental practice software Submit claims accurately and track their status until they're resolved Follow up on denials and figure out what's needed to get them approved Explain coverage and out-of-pocket costs to patients in terms they'll actually understand Coordinate with providers and office staff remotely to keep paperwork from slowing down care Flag recurring issues and suggest process fixes when something keeps causing delays What You'll Need to Get Started The minimum education requirement is a High school diploma or equivalent. Alongside that, we're looking for at least 2 years of experience in dental insurance, medical billing, or a closely related healthcare administrative role. If you've worked with coordination of benefits or handled claim appeals before, that experience will serve you well here. Skills That Matter Most Solid understanding of dental insurance policies, benefit structures, and coordination of benefits Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards Comfort using dental practice management systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental Strong organizational skills — you'll be tracking multiple claims and deadlines at once Clear communication, whether you're on a video call with a nervous patient or writing a quick note to the clinical team Nice to Have Experience with cloud-based insurance verification portals A track record of reducing claim turnaround time or improving approval rates Interest in contributing to training materials or process improvements How This Role Actually Moves the Needle Good coordinators change outcomes, not just paperwork. Teams that submit clean claims and follow up consistently tend to see real gains — faster turnaround, fewer denials, patients who leave calls actually understanding what they owe instead of guessing. Anyone who's browsed Naukri Mitra for dental insurance roles knows how rare it is to find one that spells out the impact this clearly instead of leaving it vague. What You'll Use Dental practice management software like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental Secure insurance portals for benefit verification Slack and Zoom for team and patient communication Dashboards that track claim turnaround time and approval rates Pay and Benefits This role pays $50,798 annually. Alongside salary, you'll get: Health, vision, and dental coverage Fully remote flexibility to build a schedule that fits your life Paid time off, plus wellness and mental health support Access to ongoing training and certification opportunities How the Team Stays Connected Remote doesn't mean isolated here. You'll have regular check-ins, a team that's genuinely reachable on Slack or Zoom, and space to suggest process changes without waiting for permission from three layers of management. If a workflow is slowing people down, your input actually gets heard. Room to Grow No two weeks look exactly the same — insurance rules shift, new tools come online, and there's always another wrinkle to untangle. Coordinators who lean into that tend to end up leading training sessions, piloting new software, or shaping the playbook other coordinators use down the line. Apply If you'd rather solve a confusing claim than let it sit, and you like the idea of being the person patients trust to make insurance make sense, we'd like to hear from you. This role is open to candidates across the United States, and we consider strong applicants internationally as well — reach out and we'll confirm whether your location fits this setup.
